Pizza Seasoning is a blend of herbs and spices that is great, well, for pizza! Like many pizza seasonings , it leans heavily on herbs like oregano and basil to give that aromatic quality, but there is also other ingredients to add more layers of flavour on top. We opted to leave the salt out as, depending on the pizza, there may be enough salt present already. Plus, it gives you the flexibility to add your own, should you wish to.
Pizza Seasoning is great for using in a few ways with pizza. First, you can sprinkle it on as the pizza comes out of the oven for a good burst of fragrant herbiness and flavour. You might also mix it into a pizza sauce to use as a base before adding the cheese. This infuses the topping with flavour and changes the profile somewhat with the cooking process. Alternatively, you can mix it with the raw dough if you’re making your own. Just be aware that you may need to add a touch more water as it is an additional dry ingredient. Something to gauge as you go! The seasoning is also great for adding flavour to pasta sauces and many other dishes, should you want to experiment!
