At the Spice Cupboard, we offer a few services to send you your order, giving you options over speed and costs. We use 2 different systems, Royal Mail and DPD to despatch orders, details of which are below. Please note – unless otherwise stated or agreed, any free delivery options will be sent via the Royal Mail 48 service.
Royal Mail Tracked 24
Royal Mail 24 aims to get your parcel to you between 1 and 3 days after despatch and will give notification when the goods are delivered to your address. This service costs a little more than Royal Mail 48, but should get your delivery to you quicker.
Royal Mail Tracked 48
Royal Mail 48 aims to get your parcel to you between 2 and 3 days after despatch and will give notification when the goods are delivered to your address. This is the cheapest delivery option we currently have when paying for carriage.
DPD Express Pack 5
DPD Express Pack 5 covers all parcels up to 5kg and aims to get it to you the next day. Please be aware that we do not guarantee this service as next day as once it leaves us we have no control over how long it will take. The large majority of parcels make it next day unless you are in remote areas. DPD charge a surplus for Highlands and Islands, whereas Royal Mail do not.
DPD Next Day Delivery
This service is the most expensive, but covers parcels over 5kg up to 20kg, again with the aim delivering the day following despatch. The same applies with remote areas taking longer with a surplus charge.
With all delivery options, we make every effort to process and send orders as efficiently and quickly as we can. Occasionally there may be delays that we cannot control such as adverse weather and strike action that can cause delays. DPD collect directly from us, but if there is extreme traffic conditions that day, they can fail to collect. In all instances of delay, we will email you to let you know what is going on with your order.
