Warm Runner Bean Chutney is bursting with flavour and heat! It is one of 3 Runner Bean Chutneys from Hill Farm of varying spice levels (and it is in the middle as far as spice goes). The familiar taste of runner bean may not be a familiar ingredient in a chutney, but it works as a base perfectly. Malt vinegar adds an wonderful acidic tang that can help cut through oily foods and bring a zing to your foods! The chilli here isn’t as much as the super spicy version – enough to notice, but not enough to burn! Winner of a Taste of the West Gold award in 2022.
Warm Runner Bean Chutney is a versatile condiment that will pair with many foods. The acidity and heat pair well with vintage cheddar and other strong cheeses and will pep up a Ploughman’s lunch nicely! Serve with cold cuts of meat or spoon some into a cheese toasty for extra flavour. Try it with burgers, sausages and Indian street foods such as samosas and pakora. Stir into mayonnaise, sour cream or hummus to make delicious dip for crudités and other such foods.
