Oblivion from Grim Reaper foods is a chilli extract that measures 500,000 on the Scoville heat scale. This is incredibly hot and only a few drops will add a big hit of heat to any dish. While there are hotter chillies out there, an extract is pure heat – no flavour, no seeds. This makes it a concentrated product, and should be handled with extreme care! The human tongue can detect up to a million Scovilles, beyond that the pain just lasts longer.
The intention of Oblivion is as a food additive only. Add to foods or drinks, but do not consume directly! It will disperse in water but not in oils, so be aware of what you’re adding it to. We would highly recommend starting very small, seeing how it affects the final dish and going from there. Too much in one dish could render it inedible or you may end up regretting it…. over the next couple of days, if you know what we mean!
