Dill Seeds are the dry seeds from the Anethum Graveolens plant. They have a similar flavour profile to the herb Dill, but milder and slightly more bitter. They’re the perfect ingredient when you want dill flavouring but not as the main player. Anywhere you want a bit of aniseed like crunchiness, use Dill Seeds!
You can use these handy seeds in a variety of ways. They’re right at home with baked goods such as bread, muffins and biscuits, but are also a wonderful pickling spice too. Sprinkle some whole onto salads and pasta dishes for texture and a burst of flavour. You can also make a herbal tea with Dill Seeds, or extract the oils and make homemade hand soaps. The oil is even great for creating all natural insecticides for the garden! Other seed spices we have are Caraway Seeds, Cumin Seeds, Nigella Seeds, Coriander Seeds and more.
As with all herbs and spices, add a little at a time to get the flavour you want. You can always add more, but taking it out can be impossible!
