Lime Pepper is a great seasoning for many dishes, bringing fresh, zingy lime alongside the salt, pepper and other flavours. Lemon pepper was one of the first blends we added to the site, here at The Spice Cupboard, but when we heard about Lime Pepper, our interest was piqued! There is not disappointment here. The balance of the salt and pepper against the lime is pretty much perfect (in our opinion, of course) and we are giving it a try with many foods at home.
Lime Pepper is a superb as a rub for foods such as chicken and seafood, especially oily fish. The citrus sharpness helps cut through with flavour and acidity. We’re loving it on chicken wings at the moment! If you’re a fan of avocado and guacamole, this seasoning adds something a little different to the mix. Try some on cut fruit and veggies such as cucumber, mango or pineapple to add loads of flavour. You could even try seasoning a salad with it, if you love the fresh lime and warming pepper!
Other great seasonings we have include Lemon Pepper, Brazilian BBQ Seasoning, Buffalo Wing Seasoning and Garlic Pepper.
As with all herbs and spices, add a little at a time to get the flavour you want. You can always add more, but taking it out again can be impossible!
