Rocoto Chilli Paste comes from blending up spicy Peruvian chillies. Like many important components of global dishes, they would usually make it fresh as and when they need it. This is quite often not possible when access to the chilli peppers you need is difficult at best! The next best thing is this paste which is easy to use and delicious. Rocoto chillies are pretty spicy and have been compared to habanero chillies in terms of heat level. This comes in at a 3/3 for heat, satisfying many heat seekers out there. We’d always recommend trying a little first to gauge how much you want to use!
