Aji Panca Chilli Paste comes from blending up Peruvian chilles and is so useful for making dishes from that country. Like many important components of global dishes, they would usually make it fresh as and when they need it. This is quite often not possible when access to the chilli peppers you need is difficult at best! The next best thing is this paste which is easy to use and delicious. This is a mildly hot sauce at 1/3, which is of course, subjective. We’d always recommend trying a little first to gauge how much you want to use!

Aji Panca Chilli Paste keeps all the flavours of the chilli peppers which are sweet and slightly smoky. This pairs very well with chicken and beef as a marinade and, if you add some spices that are popular in Peru, you’ll have a delicious meal! This paste is a great place to start when making your own sauces or for adding to sauces like mayonnaise if you want a creamier condiment. Adding some earthy spices such as paprika, Argentinian cumin and annatto will give a superb base for chilli con carne, carnitas and other dishes.
