Shawarma Sauce from Dawson’s takes inspiration from the bright spicing of Middle Eastern foods. The mission was to capture the scent and flavours of a Shawarma take away and we think they nailed it! A blend of spices, a glug of honey and some red chilli all combine to create a seriously tasty and seriously moreish sauce! If you’re familiar with Hot Ones on YouTube, you may remember this sauce from season 13, where it was sauce number 2.
Shawarma Sauce is not a sauce that features chilli heat heavily. There is some there (about 3/10), but this is more about flavour than anything else. It is a super versatile red pepper sauce with loads of flavour that you can pair with whatever you want. Use it win a sandwich or in a chicken burger, dip your fried in to or serve some with pizza! There’s a lot to love here and it’s one of those sauces that you can reach for again and again at meal times.
