Argentinian Provenzal Seasoning may seem a basic blend, but the flavour it gives is the cornerstone of Argentinian cuisine. Think of it as a foundation stone to build other flavours on – always there holding up the overall dish. Create your own chimichurri blend (or custom seasoning) or use it to add flavour to foods as it is. It is a highly versatile and very tasty combo! The parsley brings the herbaceous, earthiness and garlic adds aromatic, mouthwatering flavours.
Argentinian Provenzal is a key part of asados (BBQ), empanadas as well as the base of many famous spice blends. Mix with olive oil and salt before rubbing onto steaks, chicken or lamb before grilling. Stir into stews, soups and other sauce based dishes for lots more depth of flavour. You could even sprinkle some onto chips, roast potatoes, grilled vegetables and other favourites for a good punch of flavour. Stir some into butter, spread on crust bread and toast for a seriously good garlic bread! There really is so much you can do with it. As with all herbs and spices, add a little at a time to get the flavour you want. You can always add more, but taking it out again can be impossible!
