Chimichurri Blend is a fairly simple blend but is a blend that any Argentinian asado could not do without! It is a mix of Aji Molido Red Pepper Flakes, Parsley, Garlic and Oregano that gives a distinctive, tangy taste to foods. This is, of course, the dry version of the blend which is great for keeping in the store cupboard for whenever you want to use it. Now you can try it and see why this such an important spice blend to the Argentinian people!
Chimichurri Blend is great for use in a couple of ways. First would be as a dry rub, just as it is. Rub into your meat of choice (Argentinian beef is a awesome!) and cook it as normal. For best results, try to let the flavours infuse as long as possible before cooking. Secondly, you can mix it with water, oil or vinegar (or a combination of them) to make sauce or drizzle. This would be perfect for pouring over pasta dishes, salads, veggies and anything else you want to add flavour to. So much flavour from just a handful of ingredients!
