Hot Nashville Chicken Seasoning

Hot Nashville Chicken Seasoning is a mix of ingredients that will bring a real fiery kick to your food! It is a blend of Cayenne Pepper, Paprika, Brown Sugar, Garlic Granules, Fine Sea Salt, Onion salt, Black Pepper, Chilli Powder, Thyme, Oregano and Basil. With over a quarter of the entire seasoning being cayenne pepper, this is will add a hefty whack of spice to anything. The other ingredients balance it and bring some great flavours, but Nashville Chicken is meant to bite you back! Traditionally, you’d eat it with white bread and pickles, but you can easily make it your own, however you want to.

Hot Nashville Chicken Seasoning is good for using in a couple of ways. First, you can add some to the batter when making fried chicken to get the flavours right there in every mouthful – great if everyone eating loves the heat. Alternatively you can make a classic Nashville hot sauce with it – just melt a quarter cup of butter and a quarter cup of lard and add a few tablespoons of the spice blend. When the chicken is done, pour it over the top and enjoy. If butter and lard are not your thing, you can always try it with an alternative.
