Meat Seasoning is a mix of herbs and spices that enhance the flavours of red meats beyond normal seasoning. It is a blend of Onion Granules, Garlic Granules, Salt, Black Pepper, Chilli Flakes, White Pepper, Paprika and Celery that will add warmth and a more complex flavour. Meat Seasoning is perfect for marinating meat, either dry or with a little olive oil. Let sit for a couple of hours, but ideally overnight to really get the flavours to permeate.
Of course, you can mix the spices in with homemade burgers and sausages to add some pep, or you can use it to add flavors to meat based dishes. This could mean pies, stews, casseroles and much more. We also have Meat Rub, which is more herby and less spicy, should you prefer that.
The heat from chillies is a subjective thing we find; what some may find too hot, others might find tame. Therefore, you should go easy on chillies, chilli powders and blends with chilli powders in them to find the heat level you like. If you are tasting as you go, you can always add a little more if you need to, but taking heat out is difficult if not impossible.
