Garlic Granules are made from the bulbs of the Allium Sativum Plant, and are one of the most common and useful ingredients in kitchens around the world. These granules are G2 size, which is perfect for dry seasonings, marinades and rubs. They’re also perfect for adding flavour to a great many dishes and they won’t change the texture much. For soups, stews and other liquid base dishes, we also have Garlic Powder, which will dissipate through the sauce a little easier.
Of the few countries that grow and export garlic products, China tends to give the best (as far as dry products go, at least). The process has to be done correctly to maintain the garlic flavours and aromas, and as China supplies 90% or more of European requirements, that’s good enough for us!
As with all herbs and spices, add a little at a time to get the flavour you want. You can always add more, but taking it out again can be impossible!
