Garlic Powder is a very handy thing to have in the kitchen cupboard, ready to use whenever you need it. You can use it to quickly add a garlicky flavour to dishes without the need to separate, peel and crush fresh cloves. This can save you so much time and, perhaps more importantly, lots of mess! Garlic Powder is very versatile and will add a delicious flavour to just about any savoury food. Breads, pizza, soups, stews, sauces, roasts and the ever popular garlic bread. Use it to create your own spice blends, rubs and salt base seasonings. You’ll find it many of ours including Piri Piri Spice Blend, Chilli Con Carne Spice Blend, Harissa Spice Blend and more! It isn’t only great for cooking with – mix some up with water and spray on plants to deter greenfly and the like.
Garlic Powder comes from the dried cloves of the Allium Sativum plant. When dehydration is complete, they go through a milling process to turn them into powder. In this form it is highly hydroscopic, absorbing moisture from the atmosphere easily. Always be sure to reseal the bag to maintain the quality.
