Coarse Sea Salt is a kitchen essential for any chef and its uses are very wide ranging. It is great for use seasoning meat and vegetables before roasting, bread baking, flavouring potatoes and much more. It is even great in deserts (salted caramel is an ever popular choice). Add some Coarse Sea Salt to a grinder to have a ready supply in the kitchen or on the table. Many chef believe sea salt has a better flavour and texture than regular table salt. Coarse Sea Salt comes from evaporating sea water, in this case from the Red Sea. It leaves behind pure white crystals of sodium chloride (39% sodium, 60% chloride, 1% other including calcium). These go through a few cleaning phases to ensure there is no foreign matter left, and then it goes into bags for shipping worldwide. Sea Salt is a simple but extremely versatile kitchen ingredient that has been in use for millennia. Alternatively, we also have Pink Himalayan Sea Salt if you want to add some colour to your salt grinder!
Always be sure to add a little at a time when adjusting to taste. You can always add more, but taking it out again can be impossible! Always be sure to read the labels before consumption. Suitable for vegetarian, vegan and kosher recipes.
