Black Garlic Chilli jam is a fantastic jam that is the winner of many awards, including the coveted 3 Stars from the Great Taste Awards. Black garlic comes from aging cloves of garlic for several weeks in a warm, humid environment. The flavour that develops is a complex blend of umami and sweet, reminiscent of balsamic vinegar, molasses and dates. Put that into a chilli jam and you have something very special indeed! Heat level is about 2/5, so it has a fairly mild spicing which is great for many people.
Black Garlic Chilli Jam is just the perfect partner for anything cheesy! That could be a cheeseboard, a cheese toastie or even a pizza. It really shine in combination with strong and mature cheeses as they work perfectly with the sweet and savoury flavours. Try it in place of regular brown sauce in a bacon sandwich for a whole new experience!
Easton Chilli started during lockdown as a start up venture in 2020, making great sauces until late 2023. By then, Rikki could not keep up with demand so he started making sauces out of a rented kitchen in Brislington. Today, he has his own purpose built kitchen and is going from strength to strength, making awesome sauces and even offering sauce making classes. After trying a few sauces at the Hot Sauce Society show, we really wanted to bring his sauces to our customers!
