Chantico – Smoky Chipotle & De Arbol Hot Sauce

Chantico takes inspiration from the Aztec culture, a historic people of modern day Mexico. They smoked chillies to preserve them, but the flavours also transformed into something great! Balefire captures the smokiness and heat of chillies, pairing them with other great ingredients to create a versatile and moreish sauce. While De Arbol chillies usually give a fiery heat, the levels here are “medium” according to Balefire.

Chantico is great for a huge array of foods – nearly endless if you love the flavours! Of course, it goes superbly with Mexican and South American foods. Try some with fajitas, enchiladas and anything Tex-Mex! Add some to a burger, dip chips or wedges in it or combine with other foods as an ingredient. It is quite a thick sauce, so would also make a great marinade for your favourite foods.
