Niagara is a Buffalo Wing sauce with some Balefire flair! The fermented scotch bonnet chillies add a great flavour and a big kick of heat, balanced by the tropical fruits. Craft beer brings more flavours and depth to it and extra virgin oils give it that great creamy texture of Buffalo sauces. Balefire rate this as “medium hot”, so maybe try it before dressing food for the family with it!
Niagara is of course, perfect for chicken wings and other cuts of chicken. While this is the reason it was made, there is no reason you can’t use it with anything else! Great as a dipping sauce for your favourite foods, or as a sandwich/ wrap sauce. You could even use it with a breakfast fry up if you like.
Balefire is an artisan condiment producer in County Durham, run by twin brothers Pete and Jim. They combine historic and modern techniques to produce their own unique vinegars and they ferment their own chillies for several weeks. Many of their sauces feature craft beers or spirits for more complexity and layers and the attention to detail is fantastic, right down to the wax dip on every single bottle. The results are sauces of real distinction, bursting with flavours that we loved from day 1! We’re proud to be able to bring Balefire to you and we highly recommend every sauce in the range. For more information, visit the Balefire website (opens a new link in your browser).
Other great sauces from the range include Tortuga, Chantico, The Beet Goes On and Our Soul Fire to name but a few!
