Verde Crush is Balefires spicy take on a classic Salsa Verde… and what a sauce it is! Green chillies are aged for 3 weeks and then blended with fresh herbs, lime, tomatillo and Mexican beer. What you get is a zingy, spicy and fresh sauce that is getting 5 star ratings consistently on the Balefire site. This is a fairly hot sauce with a ton of flavour!
Verde Crush is pretty versatile as a sauce and will pair well with many foods. Try some with a paella, a pizza or anything from the Tex Mex scene. Add to a soup or other food with a sauce base, marinade chicken in it, or just use as a dipping sauce. We’re quite fond of using it in a sandwich to really light the flavours up!
Balefire is an artisan condiment producer in County Durham, run by twin brothers Pete and Jim.
