Lecker Salz Fry Essence – European Chip Seasoning – 100g

Lecker Salz Fry Essence is Balefire’s take on a German seasoning (the name means “tasty salt in German). It is a blend of salt with an array of spices and herbs, creating a versatile seasoning that you can use with many foods. Of course, if you look for recipes on the internet for this blend, there will be many with their own unique twists. We think this version is up there with the best of them!

Lecker Salz Fry Essence is, as the name suggests, great for using with chips/ fries (depends where you’re from!). It adds seasoning and a deliciously complex flavour that we can’t get enough of. It is also great with many other fried foods, either sprinkled on top or mixed into batters and coatings. Try it with more traditional Eastern European dishes such as Polish potato cakes to really give them a lift.

Balefire is an artisan condiment producer in County Durham, run by twin brothers Pete and Jim.
