Yoghurt Powder is made from 100% skimmed cows milk and yoghurt culture. The resulting powder is a healthy, high protein (34%) ingredient that has many uses in the kitchen. Add a robust yoghurt flavour to dressings, sauces, dips and even ice cream with ease. It will also act as a thickener as well as a flavouring, so ensure whatever you’re making stays the correct consistency!
Yoghurt Powder is great for flavouring flapjacks, nuts and cereals and more. Add some in a custom spice blend if you’re feeling experimental! Many curry sauces use yoghurt as a base, and with the powder, you can boost these flavours further. As it is so high in protein, it is a worthwhile addition to a smoothie. Please note that Yoghurt Powder is acidic, with a pH of 4.6 – 4.8. Not suitable for making homemade yoghurt. Other dairy powders we have include Italian Style Hard Cheese Powder, Buttermilk Powder, Cream Powder and Blue Cheese Powder.
As with all herbs and spices, add a little at a time to get the flavour you want. You can always add more, but taking it out again can be impossible!
