Charred Peach, Scotch Bonnet and Spiced Rum Hott Sauce

Charred Peach, Scotch Bonnet and Spiced Rum is another of the original Heriot Hott sauces! The Scotch bonnet chillies bring a good amount of heat to the mix on a base of onion, peppers and carrots. The peach adds a certain sweetness and takes it in different direction than other chilli sauces. By charring them, you get a smoky note running through the sauce and the  spiced rum further adds to the complex flavours. This sauce sits at about a 4/10 on the Heriot Hott heat scale – plenty enough to enjoy, but not too much to be a challenge!

Charred Peach, Scotch Bonnet and Spiced Rum is a great sauce to try with many foods. Like so many chilli sauces, it would pair well with Mexican and other South American foods. Try it with tacos, quesadilla, burritos and more. Use it as a dipping sauce for fries or pizza crusts, or just jazz up your avocado on toast! Lots to love here!
