Garlic & Miso Hott Sauce is a collaboration sauce between Heriot Hott and Firebowl Street Food. They make donburi bowls in Edinburgh and this sauce is a perfect partner for them! Donburi is a Japanese dish of meat, fish on vegetables over rice that, as you may expect, pairs wonderfully with this sauce. Fermenting garlic adds a real complexity that sits with the red miso to create a real umami taste fest. Heavy use of Scotch bonnets adds a really strong spicy heat that brings it to an 8/10 on the Heriot Hott scale.

Garlic & Miso Hott Sauce is, of course, great with many Japanese dishes including gyoza, tempura and donburi. You could try it with many other Asian dishes too, or even with anything else you fancy. Any time you want to add a punchy spice and layers of deep flavour, give this a go!

Heriot Hott are a small group of passionate sauce makers from Edinburgh, Scotland. Like may other stories, theirs began in lockdown, creating sauces and following a dream. Their sauces are born from a love of food and great care for the planet, creating as small a carbon footprint as possible. With some amazing culinary flair in the bottle and artistic flair on the outside, they certainly stand out! You can find more info on their sauces on the Heriot Hott Website (Opens a new link in your browser). We’re really happy to be working with them to bring their sauces to you!

Other great sauces we have from the range include Sriracha X, Louisiana Style Seaweed Sauce, Rum & Coke BBQ and Pickle Juice Buffalo, to name but a few.
