Cherry Powder gives you the bold, tangy flavour of ripe cherries in a very handy form, in or out of season. Freeze drying the fruit helps maintain the nutrients (antioxidants, vitamins, minerals) and flavour profile. This is a great way to add fruit to your diet and, being a powder, the shelf life is much longer than fresh fruits. Please note that this is 100% fruit with no anti caking agents. The powder can bind a little, which is normal. You may need to break it up in the pack before use by gently squeezing it between your fingers, tapping it on the counter top etc.
Cherry Powder is great for adding a wonderfully sweet tart flavour to your dishes. Add some to cake recipes, pancake batters and more. You could add some to porridge to bring some flavour and interest (as well as nutrients). It’s a great thing to blend into smoothies as well, for flavour and colour. As with all herbs and spices, add a little at a time to get the flavour you want. You can always add more, but taking it out again can be impossible!
