Crispy Fried Shallot Flakes are a quick and easy way to add a pop of extra flavour and a little crunch to your foods. Coating shallot slices and then frying them in soybean bean oil creates a very moreish, savoury ingredient. While fairly simple, you can use them with a dizzying amount of dishes to enhance flavour and texture. They are popular in Asian dishes where they garnish dishes such as Bún Mắm (Vietnamese noodle soup), Thai salads, fan fried fish, crispy pork belly and more.
