Blackcurrant Powder is a great thing to have in the cupboard for those that love these tart little berries of the Ribes Nigrum plant! Being in powder form means the shelf life extends well beyond fresh fruit, meaning the flavours are always to have, in or out of season. Freeze drying the berries helps retain much of the nutrient profile and flavour, giving the final food a more intense taste of blackcurrant. This is a great way to add more fruit to your diet! This powder is 100% fruit, nothing else.
Blackcurrant Powder is great for adding to all kinds desserts to add a delicious, sharp berry flavour. Use it to flavour custards, yoghurts, sauces of all kinds meringues and much more. You can use it with milkshakes and smoothies to add flavours and nutrients. It also great for bringing a beautiful colour to your desserts as well! If you want to rehydrate the powder, combine 1 part blackcurrant powder with 7 parts water.
