Banana Powder comes from peeled, dehydrated fruits from the Musa Acuminate plant. These commonly go by the name Cavendish banana and are the most popular variety. You can use it to add flavour to many sweet foods including yoghurts, porridge, smoothies and more. Add to doughs to make banana bread, of give muffins a delicious flavour. With some ice cream and milk, you can make an amazing milkshake, too! Pretty much anywhere you find bananas in foods, this powder will enhance and intensify those flavours. Banoffee pie anyone?!
Banana Powder is finding a home in cosmetics too. Being and all natural, organic product, users are mixing with skin care and beauty products. That’s an area we know little to nothing about though! Other fruit powders we have include Raspberry Powder, Mango Powder, Lemon Juice and Lime Juice Powders and more.
As with all herbs and spices, add a little at a time to get the flavour you want. You can always add more, but taking it out again can be impossible!
