Rice Breadcrumbs are a revolutionary product that is made from 100% Japanese rice. This is great for replacing wheat Panko Breadcrumbs if you have gluten intolerances of are avoiding gluten. As well as being gluten free, there are no additives or fats, beyond what you find naturally in rice. Now more people can enjoy chicken katsu and Korokke croquettes!
Use Rice Panko Breadcrumbs anywhere you would normally use Panko. Coat cuts of meat and vegetables before cooking to get that crunchy outside. Alternatively, sprinkle over baked dishes such as a gratin or pasta bake for extra texture and interest. Rice Panko has a lower oil absorption rate than wheat panko, meaning the final dish will be lower in calories while still retaining the crunch you want. Rice Panko Breadcrumbs can also go into hamburgers, meatballs and dumplings to act as a filler or texture improver. To coat foods, simply roll in egg (or equivalent) and then cover with the Rice Breadcrumbs. Cook as soon as you can after coating for best results.
