Rose Petals are dry, chopped flowers that impart a wonderful, floral flavour to foods. The first thing you’ll notice is the fragrance of the petals, which fills the air when the pack is open. One of the most popular uses is steep them in water to make a rose petal tea. This can be drunk as it is, or used in various sweet recipes, pairing well with rhubarb and similar flavours. Use Rose Petals to add an interesting taste to a syrup to drizzle over cakes and other desserts.
Rose Petals are also great as an edible garnish for various foods, too. Again, desserts are a great food to garnish with petals. Bring some extra flair to your biscuits, cupcakes and more, either as a visual decoration or as an edible one! Some spice blends use these fragrant petals as part of the mix, such as Ras El-Hanout. The unique flavour they add really sets the blend apart from many other blends. We’re sure there are many other uses for them as well, from candle making to pot potpourri – definitely one for the creative!
