Coriander leaf is the dried, rubbed leaves of the Coriandrum sativum plant. It has a warm, nutty and slightly spicy flavour with hints of an orange like citrus. This is a great ingredient that you’ll often find in dishes throughout the Middle East and India. Add flavour to curries, stews, tagines and soups with Coriander leaf along with other herbs and spices you want.
There are many more uses for this delicious herb, too! Sprinkle onto chicken, pork or vegetables before cooking to instantly add interest, or add to grains such as rice and quinoa for an extra layer of flavour. If you like the aromatic taste of Coriander Leaf, why not bake it into breads, biscuits or Yorkshire puddings. We also have Coriander Seed and Ground Coriander if you’re looking for those. There is also Parsley, Chives, French Tarragon and many more which you can find in our “Herbs” section.
As with all herbs and spices, add a little at a time to get the flavour you want. You can always add more, but taking it out again can be impossible!
