Bagel Topping

Bagel Topping is a blend of seeds and spices that is perfect for finishing your bagels off, or indeed any bread product. It is a mix of Sesame Seeds, Black Sesame Seeds, Blue Poppy Seeds, White Poppy Seeds, Minced Onion, Minced Garlic and Halen Môn Pure Sea Salt. It adds a crunchy texture and delicious flavour to whatever you use it with. Here at The Spice Cupboard, we believe that choice of salt is important, which is why we use Halen Môn in the blend. The large flakes and delicate flavour really make a difference to the experience, we think!

What is Bagel Topping good for? Pretty much everything! Of course, topping a bagel is obvious but use it on avocado on toast, jacket potato, eggs (however you like them), salmon, soup, pizza and more. Add to the breadcrumbs when making your own chicken nuggets for a great flavour. This is a very versatile blend that you’ll reach for again and again when creating your own culinary treats! You can always add more to the blend to build on it, making your own custom mix. This could be Mignonette Black Pepper, Nigella Seeds, Mustard Seeds, Celery Seeds and much more.

As with any spice blend, add a little at a time to reach the amount you want to use. You can always add more but taking it away again can be very difficult if not impossible!
