Halen Môn Pure Sea Salt is a wonderful product made right here in the UK from Anglesey sea water. The crunchy flakes of salt enhance everything you use it with from chips and salads to soups and roast dinners. Halen Mon Pure Sea Salt is soft enough to crush between your fingers, so is not ideal for use in a grinder – a mortar and pestle is better if you need to grind it up.
As a Pure Sea Salt, you can use it in place of anywhere you would use table salt. Be that in the kitchen or on the dining table. Of course, this isn’t cheapest salts you can get, but then again it is harvested by hand in smaller quantities than other salts. The whole process and end product is about the quality and flavour, and if you know your salt, we’re sure you’ll appreciate it! Salt is probably one of the most important and useful ingredients for food, so opting for an organic, premium sea salt can make all the difference to you cooking.
Halen Mon produce their sea salt in Anglesey, Wales using hand harvesting techniques. From a salt discovered in a saucepan left to boil dry, it is now one of the worlds most premium salts. It was on the table at the London 2012 Olympics and is part of the menu at the Fat Duck restaurant. As with all herbs, spices and salts, add a little at a time to get the flavour you want. You can always add more, but taking it out again can be impossible!
