Blood Orange Chilli Marmalade is an Easton Chilli twist on a traditional recipe and we just love it! Blood orange has a wonderfully bright, tart flavour that is perfect for a chilli jam, balancing the sharpness with the sweetness of raw cane sugar. Then, of course, there’s the chilli! Using Birdseye chillies adds a dash of spice that really lifts it. This chilli jam is soft set, to the point of being pourable, which can help with some food applications.
Blood Orange Chilli Marmalade is the perfect partner for hot buttery toast and other toasted bakery goods. You could also pour some over a chicken or duck prior to roasting to really add some delicious flavours. Also, much like many chilli jams and marmalades, this is perfect for a cheese board, pairing well with mature cheddar and other strong flavours.
Easton Chilli started during lockdown as a start up venture in 2020, making great sauces until late 2023. By then, Rikki could not keep up with demand so he started making sauces out of a rented kitchen in Brislington. Today, he has his own purpose built kitchen and is going from strength to strength, making awesome sauces and even offering sauce making classes. After trying a few sauces at the Hot Sauce Society show, we really wanted to bring his sauces to our customers! For more info on their products or to look into their sauce classes, check out the Easton Chilli website. (Opens a new window in your browser).
Other chilli jams we have in the range include Salted Pineapple, Sundried Tomato, Original and Smoked Garlic as well as many table sauces!
