Hawaiian Jade Bamboo salt is a great ingredient that looks good, tastes good and does good! Pure Hawaiian Salt is cured with bamboo shoot extract which give it that lovely green colouring. The subtle flavouring goes very well with many dishes, especially those from the Far East. Bamboo shoots are often an ingredient in these dishes, so this salt pairs perfectly with them. That isn’t to say you can’t use it anywhere else! If you like the flavours it brings to your foods, you can use it in place of regular Sea Salt.
The bamboo shoot extract in Hawaiian Jade Bamboo salt is high in amino acids and antioxidants. This transfers to the food you use it with, offering a little extra benefit along with the flavour. Use as is as a finishing salt to add crunch and flavour, or grind and use as a seasoning. Works very well with rice, fish and seafood dishes, but why not experiment! While certainly not the cheapest of salts, this is an authentic Hawaiian product, meaning it comes from an extremely remote region of the planet.
As with all herbs and spices, add a little at a time to get the flavour you want. You can always add more, but taking it out can be impossible! We also offer garlic salt, pink Himalayan sea salt, and more!
