Hungarian Sweet Smoked Paprika comes from the dried, smoked and ground pods of several species of Capsicum annuum. Hungary produces what many consider to be the best paprika in the world, the home of which is Szeged. This region has perfect conditions for growing the peppers, and that is where this paprika comes from. As well as the delicious flavour of paprika, this has a wonderfully deep smoky flavour too.
Hungarian Sweet Smoked Paprika is, of course, perfect for Hungarian cuisine. Add to goulash soup or paprika potatoes or whatever else you want to! Add to baked potatoes, meats, omelettes, soups, stews and much, much more. Everything about this spice will enhance your food – the flavour, the scent and the colour! As with all herbs and spices, add a little at a time to get the flavour you want. You can always add more, but taking it out again can be impossible!
