Salt & Vinegar Seasoning is a blend of Sea Salt, Malt Vinegar Powder (contains gluten), Sodium Diacetate and Citric Acid. It is a simple seasoning that will eliminate one of the worst things about the chippy tea – soggy chips. Some of us here at The Spice Cupboard avoid vinegar on chips because it makes them wet, especially the ones at the bottom. Now we have Salt & Vinegar seasoning, we get all the flavours and no sodden chips! Just use in place of plain salt and enjoy!
Of course, as a seasoning, you can use it in any way you want. Sprinkle over wedges, popcorn or homemade crisps for a tangy zing. You can also rub into chicken or pork ribs before cooking to add flavour, or use with vegetables for interest.
As with all herbs and spices, add a little at a time to get the flavour you want. You can always add more, but taking it out again can be impossible!
