Chinese Spare Rib Marinade is a blend of ingredients that lets you recreate the popular Char Siu flavours of China. This is the flavour you get when something is “Chinese Style” and is wonderfully sweet and aromatic. Of course, the classics are Chinese style spare ribs or chicken wings, but you can use it for whatever you want! Use about 10% mix to 90% of what you’re using it with, coat and leave to infuse for at least 15 minutes, but the longer, the better. For extra sweetness, add a little honey near the end of the cooking process.
Use Chinese Spare Rib Marinade with a sauce base such as mayonnaise or yoghurt to make a delicious dip. Or simply sprinkle into a sandwich with chicken, pork or whatever you like to add flavour and interest.
As with all herbs and spices, add a little at a time to get the flavour you want. You can always add more, but taking it out again can be impossible!
