Advieh Berenj is an incredibly aromatic spice blend, the name of which translates to Persian Rice Spice. The flavours have hints of curry with some amazing other spices – this may not be the cheapest of blends, but the ingredients are a powerhouse of flavours! The blend is made up of Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Cardamom, Cumin, Black Pepper, Lemon Myrtle, Turmeric & Rose Petals.
Advieh Berenj is, of course, perfect for adding to rice to create a highly flavourful and wonderful scented dish. Simple sprinkle some onto the rice after cooking and stir through. You can also add it to other pulse dishes such as couscous and lentils. If you’re looking for authentic dishes to use it with, why not try Tahdig – or crispy Persian rice. PLEASE NOTE – This blend has no salt in it, so you can add as little or as much as you want. We recommend adding at least some to really bring out and enhance the flavours of the spices.
As with all herbs and spices, add a little at a time to get the flavour you want. You can always add more, but taking it out again can be impossible!
