Garam Masala+

Garam Masala + takes the ingredients of our regular Garam Masala and adds Cardamom and Bay to add extra flavours. It is a blend of Coriander, Cumin, Black Pepper, Cinnamon, Fennel, Cloves and Bay Leaf. This combination is aromatic and delicious and a great way to add lots of flavour to your dishes. It is so popular that it is often near the top of the list of spice cupboard essentials for many cooks.

Garam Masala + is great for use in Indian and South Asian cuisines, but much more besides. Use as marinade or spice rub on your favourite meat or vegetable or stir into sauces to add instant depth. Be as creative as you like or as simple as adding some to baked beans, it’ll pretty much always work well! We offer a couple of variations of Garam Masala because this is one blend that is open to interpretation and local tastes. Many areas of India and beyond make it in their own way, and as such you can add more spices to this blend to make it your own. We find a little chilli powder works well, if you like spicy food!

As with all herbs and spices, add a little at a time to get the flavour you want. You can always add more, but taking it out again can be impossible!
