Harissa Spice Blend (No Salt) is a mix of herbs and spices that will quickly add lots of flavour to homemade harissa pastes. It consists of Smoked Paprika, Tomato Powder, Ground Cumin, Ground Sweet Bell Pepper, Ground Coriander, Garlic Granules, Onion Granules, Chilli Granules (Seedless), Chilli Powder, Ground Caraway, Cracked Black Pepper, Smoke Powder. With some roasted red peppers and this blend you can get a great tasting sauce in minutes! The beauty is, you can then build on it if you wish, adding whatever else you want to.
There are other uses for Harissa Spice Blend (No Salt) too! Use as is as a dry rub for meat and vegetables or mix with a little water or oil to make a marinade. Add to stews and casseroles or enhance tagines and other dishes with a quick sprinkle. Incorporate into burgers and sausages before cooking to bring a delicious flavour to them. You can always stir into a sauce such as mayonnaise, sour cream or hummus to create your own sauces.
As with all herbs and spices, add a little at a time to get the flavour you want. You can always add more, but taking it out again can be impossible!
