Smoke ‘n’ Spice Seasoning brings together many of our favourite ingredients into one delicious and versatile blend. It includes Chipotle Chilli Powder, Hot Oak Smoked Paprika, Sea Salt, Onion Granules, Garlic Granules and Black Pepper. This combination gives a smoky barbeque flavour that goes well with many foods. The chilli powder in the mix comes in around 5000 on the Scoville heat scale, so about as hot as a Jalapeno. It won’t feel as hot as that unless you use a lot of it!
Use Smoke ‘n’ Spice Seasoning on chips and baked potatoes (we use it quite generously!), meat and vegetables or anything else you can think of. Making a marinade for meat and poultry that you will grill or barbeque is a great idea, or you can stir some into your favourite sauce base and make a dip out of it. You can add more spices to it to refine it further into your own creation, or better yet, develop your own from scratch with the spices and herbs you love! Chilli Heat
The heat from chillies is a subjective thing we find; what some may find too hot, others might find tame. Therefore, you should go easy on chillies, chilli powders and blends with chilli powders in them to find the heat level you like. If you are tasting as you go, you can always add a little more if you need to, but taking heat out is difficult if not impossible.
