Steak Lovers Seasoning is a blend of herbs and spices that pair well with the flavours of beef. It is a combination of True Cinnamon, New Mexico Red Chilli, Mexican Oregano, Cumin, Garlic Granules, Onion Granules, Black Pepper and S4 Cayenne Pepper. These warming flavours compliment steak very well, and is a great blend for those that have it often and want to try something new.
Depending on who you talk to, some say that steak doesn’t really need any extra flavours with it. While we agree that steak is generally delicious, sometimes adding some flavour is a good thing too. Getting the balance of spices right with the taste of beef is a real treat, especially if you don’t have steak very often.
To get great results from a steak, let your steak warm to room temperature before patting each side dry. Use about 10g on each side of the steak, (depending on how big it is and how strong a flavour you want) and leave to let the flavours infuse. Then, just cook as you normally would and serve with whatever you like! PLEASE NOTE – This blend has no salt in it, so you can add as little or as much as you want. We recommend adding a little to really bring out and enhance the flavours of the spices.
The heat from chillies is a subjective thing, we find; what some may find too hot, others might find tame. Therefore, you should go easy on chilli powders and blends with chilli powders in them to find a heat level you like. If you’re tasting as you go, you can always add a little more if you need to, but taking heat out is difficult if not impossible.
