Canadian Steak Seasoning is a blend of herbs and spices, popular in Canada and North America. It is a combination of Black Pepper, Paprika, Garlic Granules, Onion granules, Chilli Powder (blend), Coriander and Dill. It sometimes goes by the name Montreal Seasoning, but whatever the name, it gives an amazing flavour to steaks! Not only that, but you can use it to pep up burgers and pork chops, and much more besides.
To get great results from a steak, let your steak warm to room temperature before patting each side dry. Use about 10g on each side of the steak, (depending on how big it is and how strong a flavour you want) and leave to let the flavours infuse. Then, just cook as you normally would and serve with whatever you like! PLEASE NOTE – This blend has no salt in it, so you can add as little or as much as you want. We recommend adding at least some to really bring out and enhance the flavours of the spices.
As with all herbs and spices, add a little at a time to get the flavour you want. You can always add more, but taking it out again can be impossible!
