Vindaloo Curry Powder – No Salt

Vindaloo Curry Powder is a blend that helps recreate the Indian curry at home. It consists of Coriander, Turmeric, Cumin, Cayenne Pepper, Black Pepper, Paprika, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Cloves and Ginger. Authentic Indian vindaloo curries are not as fiery as you might expect, that was a result of coming to the west and changing to suit Europeans. Use this Vindaloo Curry Powder as a starter blend and add more cayenne to get to the heat level you want!

You can make a curry with any protein you like, with chicken pork and lamb being popular. It’ll also work perfectly well with vegetarian foods too. You can always use the blend to pep up other foods if you want! Add to beans or soups to bring instant flavour, sprinkle over chips or mix with oil or mayonnaise to make dressings and sauces. PLEASE NOTE – This blend has no salt in it, so you can add as little or as much as you want. We recommend adding a little to really bring out and enhance the flavours of the spices.

The heat from chillies is a subjective thing we find; what some may find too hot, others might find tame. Therefore, you should go easy on chillies, chilli powders and blends with chilli powders in them to find the heat level you like. If you are tasting as you go, you can always add a little more if you need to, but taking heat out is difficult if not impossible.
