Tikka Masala Curry Powder is great for making up delicious curries without the need to grind your own spices. It is a blend of Garam Masala, Beetroot Powder, Cumin, Turmeric, Cayenne Pepper, Smoked Paprika, Garlic Granules and Coriander. These come together to create a highly aromatic powder that will give your foods lots of flavour. There is some heat from the Cayenne, but not too much! Chicken Tikka is a favourite in the UK, whether it’s dry pieces of tikka chicken or a Chicken Tikka Masala curry. Now you can have a go at making it in the comfort of your own home!
Tikka Masala Curry Powder is also great for making up curry flavour dips and sauces too. Just stir some into yoghurt, mayonnaise or any other base you like. Sprinkle over a jacket potato or wedges (or anything else for that matter) to add flavour. We like to stir some curry powder into baked beans or pep up a bland soup! Please note – This blend has no salt in it, so you can add as little or as much as you like. We recommend adding a little to really bring out and enhance the flavours of the spices. Other “no salt” curry powders we have are Punjabi, Kashmiri, Naga Masala, Japanese and Vindaloo Curry Powder.
The heat from chillies is a subjective thing we find; what some may find too hot, others might find tame. Therefore, you should go easy on chillies, chilli powders and blends with chilli powders in them to find the heat level you like. If you are tasting as you go, you can always add a little more if you need to, but taking heat out is difficult if not impossible.
