Chinese Takeaway Curry Sauce Mix is perfect for recreating the wonderful curry sauce you can only seem to get from a takeaway shop. Since the early days of the Spice Cupboard, we have been looking for something that will deliver an authentic tasting takeaway curry sauce, and now we’ve found it! As you’d expect, it is ideal for making Chinese curries and for dipping prawn or chicken balls in.
But that’s not all! Use Chinese Takeaway Curry Sauce for whatever you want. We love it just for dipping chips in, but you can pour it on a jacket potato too. Boil some rice, grab some leftovers from a roast and make a tasty meal in minutes! We have had a few people close to us try this mix and everyone agrees that it is an amazingly accurate takeaway curry sauce.
Preparation method
Combine 25g of mix per 100ml of cold water and bring to the boil. Simmer gently for 2 minutes, stirring constantly until ready to serve. We would recommend adding slightly less water to make a thicker sauce, then adjusting the final sauce with a little boiling water to thin (if necessary).
